The Problem
PulseFit had a loyal local following but an online presence that didn't reflect the quality of the in-person experience. Most class bookings happened over the phone or via a third-party app with a clunky interface and high transaction fees. The owner wanted a site that made online booking frictionless and showcased the studio's premium environment — without paying 30% to a booking platform.
The Approach
The goal was simple: get someone from landing on the homepage to completing a booking in under 60 seconds. We mapped the user journey down to each click and eliminated every unnecessary step. Class schedules, booking, and payment all needed to live inside the site — not redirect to a third party.
The Solution
Built on Next.js with a fully embedded class schedule and Calendly booking flow. Stripe handled class packs and memberships. The design emphasized photography — big, immersive imagery of the space — because the studio itself was the best sales tool. We added a class-type filter (Spin, HIIT, Yoga) and a 'Book free trial' CTA on every page. The site loads in under 1.2 seconds on mobile.
The Outcome
Launch week: the studio received more online bookings in 7 days than the previous month combined. Six weeks post-launch, every class across all instructors was fully booked. The owner cut paid social spending by 60% because the site was generating word-of-mouth organic bookings. The phone stopped ringing about class reservations entirely.
